Rain, Rain, Rain

A few weeks ago we had 12" of rain in 6 hours!
It was amazing to see how fast water rises.

Here Hwy 11 was closed due to flooding.

There was never a pond here before the rain.

Water came over this old bridge.

More time to play in the mud.

Fun cookie helpers.

Oh, how much this girl LOVES food.

Since I cant fall asleep while my man is gone I decided to make this apple pie on the night
he was out blocking roads that were flooded.

What We Do After It Rains.....

Play in the mud!!!!!

Kathryn has potty trained herself and is now teaching her scooby too. :) :)

Finally At It Again!

So I finally got my pictures organized and ready to start posting!!!

Starting on the weekend of July 22nd when Nathaniel
and I went on a anniversary getaway for a night/day.
Here are the places we visited in Glen Rose.

Off we go!!!

We got there a little after dark so I did not get many good pictures
of our cabin area. It was very romantic, remote and right on a river.

Such a cozy little place.

Saturday morning after a yummy waffle breakfast we drove to Fossil Rim for a
behind the scenes tour of the park.

Just me and my handsome man.

Sorry for my finger being right in the way.

Here we go!

Highlight of the trip was feeding the giraffes.
They were not like cows when you hand feed them you get lots of slobber.
With giraffes you just get fuzzy nibbling.

So fun to have them come right up to you.

The baby giraffes were so cute.

Cheetah .

I felt bad for these deer as they were gong though a season
where if anything touches their antlers it really hurts them as they
have a bunch of nerves there until the fuzzy stuff (I don't remember the proper name of it) falls of in a few months.

Such tall amazing animals.

The ostrich has one hard peck. :)

After lunch at the park we visited the creation museum.

I would be afraid to cross paths with this person.

A humans footprint inside a dinosaur track.

A mock up of the ark was amazing.

Next Dinosaur World!

I'm pretty sure these were supposed to be close to actual size.
I sure would be scared to be living with these amazing creatures. :)
